FAIRMONT- Bridgeport developer James A. Corton addressed the I-79 Development Council Wednesday during its quarterly meeting at the Alan B. Mollohan Innovation Center in Fairmont.
Corton is managing partner of Genesis Partners, the firm that is developing Charles Pointe, a $1.2 billion master-planned community in Harrison County.
Corton said the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation and Genesis Partners share a similar goal. That goal is to create a high quality place where people can enjoy living and working in a diversified economy and relaxing in a beautiful environment, Corton said.
Corton gained experience as president and chairman of the board of several West Virginia companies.
He stressed collaboration and embracing new technologies to compete in the 21st century.
